Calcium Carbonate

Calcium carbonate is a naturally occurring substance found in rocks, predominantly in the forms of calcite and aragonite, with limestone being its most well-known source. It is typically obtained through mining or quarrying and referred to as Ground Calcium Carbonate (GCC). Another form, Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC), is created by adding water to calcium oxide to form calcium hydroxide, followed by the introduction of carbon dioxide, which precipitates calcium carbonate.
