Calcium Chloride

Calcium chloride is an inorganic, white crystalline salt highly soluble in water. It can be synthesized by neutralizing hydrochloric acid with calcium hydroxide or as a by-product of the Solvay process, which involves generating sodium carbonate from the reaction of sodium chloride brine with calcium carbonate.
